Try to get an outdoor CCTV camera that is rated up to a minimum of IP65, meaning Ingress protection 65, this basically means that they are both dust tight and sealed to prevent water getting in that would cause harmful effects.

With one of these you can easily leave it exposed to the elements and they will continue to perform at their very best.
